August Hornsea, East Yorkshire

Not detered by the August experience, Mike and Laura decided to arrange a re-match with Hornsea diving...

This was a Sports Diver + trip for those dived up in advance.

After an initial stab at the Upminster in company with Doncaster BSAC, we opted for our alternate site of the Cadmus. Always an interesting rummage dive, this one was no exception. The second dive of the day was a speculative dive on an unidentified mark. Result was a stretch of quite pretty sea bed but no metal.

An eventful afternoon and evening saw us working late into the night welding up our trailer which had broken during launch / recovery of Walden Diver from the beach.

The second day saw us returning to the Upminster with better marks. Well worth while as she is an interesting wreck with plenty of life on her and worth while doing again in future.
